Arirang TV Launches "SHOW K-POP" with ZEROBASEONE's Seok Matthew as Host


    Arirang TV is expanding its global music programming with the launch of SHOW K-POP, a brand-new, English-language music television program. The show is scheduled to officially premiere on Monday, October 19, 2026, bringing international fans closer to their favorite artists.

    Serving as the solo emcee for the program is Seok Matthew, a member of the popular boy group Zerobaseone. His addition as host is expected to draw significant interest from global fans due to his multilingual capabilities and energetic stage presence.
    While Arirang TV is already home to English-language music content like Simply K-Pop, SHOW K-POP distinguishes itself through its competitive format. The program will introduce a live chart system to rank the week's top releases, a feature traditionally reserved for native Korean music broadcasts.
    The program will air every Monday, at 6PM KST, kicking off the weekly cycle of television music competitions in South Korea.

    App Voting Guide

    • The “SHOW K-POP” Pre-Voting and Live Voting will take place through the Mubeat app and will be applied starting from the first broadcast on October 19, 2026 (KST).
      ※ Voting will open on October 15, 2026 (KST), and will be reflected in the 1st-place ranking for the October 19 broadcast.
    • To participate in the pre-voting and live voting, download the Mubeat app and vote for your favorite nominees. The live voting allows up to 50 votes per person.
    • The live voting takes place only during the live broadcast and will not be held if the broadcast does not air.

    Chart Tracking Period

    • Global Streaming, Album Sales, Social Media (video view count): Sunday to Saturday, two weeks before the broadcast week
    • “SHOW K-POP” Pre-Voting on Mubeat: Thursday 12:00 (KST) to Saturday 12:00 (KST), the week before the broadcast

    ※ Voting periods are subject to change depending on the circumstances.

    Chart Eligibility Criteria

    • Only digital tracks by officially debuted artists are eligible.
    • Drama and webtoon soundtracks, as well as songs from audition programs, are excluded.
    • Artists who rank 1st place for three total weeks will be inducted into the [SHOW K-POP Hall of Fame] and will graduate from future chart eligibility.

    1st Place Selection Criteria

    • The Top 2 nominees for 1st place are selected based on the combined scores for Global Streaming (40%), Album Sales (10%), Social Media (10%), Broadcast Count (10%), and “SHOW K-POP” Pre-Voting (15%) scores.
    • The final 1st place winner is determined by adding the “SHOW K-POP” Live Voting (15%) score for the top 2 nominees.

    Show Stage Voting

    • Immediately after the broadcast, voting is held for the entire lineup of artists featured in that episode.
    • The winner is selected based 100% on the votes, followed by an award presentation and induction into the [SHOW STAGE Hall of Fame].
