Carter Faith has released “Still The Sparrow Sings,” a song she wrote and performs for Netflix’s upcoming film Heartland. The track is the second release from the film’s official soundtrack, which is due November 13. A performance video for the song, filmed at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, is also available.

Heartland marks Faith’s acting debut. She appears in the film alongside Jessica Chastain, and the movie will premiere exclusively on Netflix on November 13. The release follows Faith’s first CMA Awards nomination, for New Artist of the Year. The category will be presented during the ceremony airing live on ABC on Wednesday, November 18, at 8 p.m. ET.
Faith is currently on her Cherry Valley Forever Tour, with announced stops including the House of Blues in San Diego, the Old Rock House in St. Louis and Joe’s on Weed Street in Chicago. Earlier this fall, she joined Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves and Shaboozey on tour. The current dates follow the release of Cherry Valley Forever, a deluxe edition of her debut album that adds five tracks to the original release. Among them are “Nothin’ Better To Do,” featuring Wyatt Flores, and “Pearl Handled Pistol,” with Laci Kaye Booth and Baby Nova.
Cherry Valley received an ACM Album of the Year nomination. It was the first debut album nominated in that category since Chris Stapleton’s Traveller in 2016. Faith developed the album over two years of writing with producer Tofer Brown before they recorded it in 2024. She made her late-night television debut this year on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, after appearing on the program for the 2025 holiday song “Ugly Sweater.”
