Stockholm-based artist Jeppediinho bridges radiant synth-pop, classic house, and modern EDM emotion on his memorable debut album, Games of Life. Drawing on early inspirations like Avicii and the golden age of dance music, the album brims with euphoric hooks and introspective themes, seamlessly balancing elation with self-reflection.
“Illusion” opens the album with a clanging synth-pop effervescence, quickly building into a similarly vibrant vocal presence — admitting to being “blinded by the light.” The elongated vocal feeling traverses with gripping momentum as the glistening synth work continues, beckoning into a title-bearing hook that dazzles in its charismatic vocal uptick and blaring synth-ready illumination. The ensuing “The Wrong Time” also struts a magnetic sound from the get-go, evolving enjoyably into a catchy whoa-oh-ing vocal enthusiasm and emotive “you try to play me” vocal unveiling.
Another standout track shows in “Coming Back,” particularly in its evolution from twinkling keys into a bouncy synth-pop grandeur, fondly reminiscent of Erasure. Elsewhere, “We Are The Winners” delights in its more buzzy, charged-up sound within an anthemic “I hear the sound of victory” proclamation. Album finale “The Raven” delights as well, inducing a chilly soundscape as moody piano moves into intensifying dance-ready synth charisma. Games of Life consistently plays as a replay-inducing, electro-pop success from Jeppediinho.
