Kukuni – “Left Out”

Los Angeles-based act Kukuni stir on their recent track “Left Out,” showcasing their combo of psychedelic sensibilities, indie-pop immediacy, and synth-ready atmospherics. Dreamy synth tones and subdued percussive shakes build with patiently unfolding charm, into an “excuse me little man, if you could lend a hand for just one song” vocal salutation and ensuing dose of twangy guitars.

The sporadic pushes of guitar and spacey synths meld with the harmonious vocals, creating a palpable sense of momentum, culminating in a blissful hookiness past the one-minute turn. “You know the part, I get left out in the cold,” the magnetic vocals let out there, amidst a delightful synth/guitar interplay. More vigor-full synth work consumes further past the track’s midpoint. “Left Out” enthralls in its lushly enticing soundscape and hooky immediacy, marking a surefire success from Kukuni.
