The former Migos rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot in a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock hotel and casino last night (April 6), according to The Guardian.

A spokesperson for Offset said in a statement via Variety: “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”

The Seminole police department said two people have been detained and officials are investigating the incident.

They added via the Associated Press: “We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7pm Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.

“Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”

It comes just over three years after late Migos member Takeoff was shot dead outside a Houston bowling alley. The late rapper, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball, died aged 28 on November 1 in 2022 when he was shot dead in an alleged dice game gone wrong in Houston, Texas.

Patrick Clark was later charged with his murder and is set to go on trial in November, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Offset was previously married to Cardi B after they started dating in 2017 and secretly married in September that same year. They made their relationship public the following month.

In the summer of 2024, Cardi B announced that she had filed for divorce from the rapper.
