Pokémon Pokopia launched earlier this year and the Animal Crossing-influenced life simulation game quickly became the best-reviewed Pokémon game of all time. In the cosy game, you take control of a Ditto and try to encourage various ‘Mon to take up residence in your charming village by building houses, amenities and decorating the space.

Now, The Pokémon Company has confirmed a series of immersive physical-world experiences will take place over the next few months.

Taking over The Mount in Acton, London, the Pokopia Gardens is open from March 31 to September 30 and is free to visit. “In the game, players are tasked with rebuilding the world into a Pokémon paradise to encourage Pokémon back into the area. The Pokémon Company International is recreating that concept for local communities in real life, providing beautiful Pokémon-themed paradises in public spaces,” reads a press release. “The spaces feature a curated selection of flora alongside elements inspired by the game’s charming art style and familiar Pokémon friends, including ‘living walls’ and Pokémon-inspired terrariums.”

Pokopia Gardens are also set to open in Paris and Berlin. “In Pokémon Pokopia, players create a Pokémon paradise which everyone can live in. We wanted to bring some of that same feeling of growth and brightness to real world communities, creating a space that is full of Pokémon Pokopia’s magic and open to all,” said Peter Murphy, senior director of marketing at The Pokémon Company International, in a statement.

Pokémon Go players will also be able to take advantage of new gyms and Pokéstops during the course of the pop-up experience. Opening times and transport details for the Pokopia Gardens can be found here.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise, London’s Natural History Museum has been hosting a special Pokémon pop-up store. The experience had been due to close on March 22 but due to demand, is now running until April 19.

In other news, six months after the hit game was first released, the soundtrack to Ghost Of Yōtei is heading to vinyl.
