Gen Z icons, izna, have released their third mini album, "SET THE TEMPO," where they share their declaration to set their own standards rather than following any set by the rest of the world. Authenticity has been at the heart of izna’s core identity since day one, and with each release, they have continued to build on that as they continue to grow and challenge themselves, while staying true to who they are.
"SET THE TEMPO" includes five new tracks: 'METRONOME,' 'R.I.P.,' 'INFINITY,' 'ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS,' and 'LEAN ON ME.' 'METRONOME' is the title track, produced by world-renowned producer TEDDY alongside KUSH, VVN and IDO. Like a metronome that keeps a steady beat, the song’s music and lyrics express the determination to create and follow one’s own rhythm without wavering, even in a complex and chaotic world. izna’s signature blend of raw energy and dreamy aesthetics brings the track to life, delivering a performance that feels like a natural evolution of everything the group has built so far.
“Just like the title of this album, we want to keep moving forward with confidence at our own steady tempo,” the members said. “We'll show that izna is truly one-of-a-kind, and the group that can make any concept our own.”
The album’s diverse B-sides further showcase izna’s expanded musical spectrum. “R.I.P.” is a pop-rock track that boldly declares a break from the past and a confident leap toward something new. “INFINITY” is a heartfelt fan song in which members RYU SA RANG and BANG JEE MIN participated in the lyric writing in order to best express their sincerity in their unconditional love and trust for their fans. “ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS,” is a hip-hop/R&B track inspired by the classic game, playfully exploring the psychological dynamics of relationships.
The album then closes out with “LEAN ON ME,” a synth-pop track that carries a message of reassurance, promising to be a warm place of comfort during moments of loneliness and uncertainty. Together, the five tracks that make up "SET THE TEMPO," are organically connected to create a cohesive and highly accomplished album that establishes izna’s unique identity and artistry.
Since debut, izna have continuously expanded and strengthened the message of authenticity that defines the group. From boldly challenging limits with their debut mini album "N/a" to breaking beyond expectations with the second mini album "Not Just Pretty," izna have been shaping their own narrative.
Now, eight months after Not Just Pretty, SET THE TEMPO, marks a new chapter — one where they confidently define their own standards on their own terms and set the pace.
