I had a little flashback to U2 at first but there is probably a bit more post-rock to ‘Holding Patterns’ than anything else. But that is far from the end of the bright spectacle because those dreamy vocals make for the perfect foil for all the jangling intensity. So reminded me of one of our favourite 90’s acts the Pale Saints, but with a nod to ‘When The Sun Hits’ from Slowdive. All adds up to wonderful dreamgaze, the kind that has hearts soaring. KH
