Blossoms have announced plans for an intimate concert at the Manchester Deaf Institute as part of their 10 year anniversary celebration of their debut album.
The band will perform the one-off homecoming show, which will see them play their self-titled 2016 debut in full, next Wednesday (August 5) ahead of their forthcoming arena tour later this year.
The performance will be recorded and released as part of an exclusive live double CD edition of their upcoming LP ‘Songs From The Wedding Cake‘, which is released on October 2nd via ODD SK / Distiller Records – pre-order/pre-save here.
Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am BST this Friday (July 31) and can be purchased here.

The band’s self-titled debut LP scored the highest-selling debut album of 2016, beating the likes of Zayn Malik and Jack Garrett at the time.
Released on August 5 that year, NME described the album as leaping “from their chart-bound Trojan horse as modernist rock heroes,” adding that “it’s tuneful, romance-based radio pop with slivers of guitar for decoration.”
As for their latest LP, the band have already shared singles ‘Joke About Divorce‘, and ‘Meet Me In Love’.
Blossoms called the record “an absolute joy” to make on social media, adding: “Written and recorded over the last year, it’s a collection of songs about what might seem like ordinary moments, viewed through an extraordinary lens… joking about divorce, hire cars, crying at the Kardashians, Wikipedia rabbit holes, trips to The Range, falling asleep in a taxi, your arm going numb because someone’s asleep on it, the 192, being an additional driver on your wife’s insurance and losing her 20 years’ no-claims bonus (ffs), dancing in the kitchen to Grease, crying at videos of dogs on Instagram, picking up parquet flooring, saying the wrong thing, growing older together… you get the idea.”
They will hit the road for an arena tour in November with support from The Royston Club.
Kicking off at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on November 26, the band will make stops at London’s Ally Pally (27), moving on to a hometown show at Manchester’s Co-Op Live (28). After a show at Birmingham’ Utilita Arena (December 4), they’ll round off with a final show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro (5). You can purchase tickets here.
Last month, the band surprised fans with a pop-up gig from the back of a van outside 42nd Street Nightclub in Manchester.
Earlier this week, Rick Astley joined Blossoms for a performance of recent singel ‘Joke About Divorce’ during the band’s set at Tramlines Festival.
