If one was in the market for a few minutes where the romance is struck up quickly but in a fashion that never feels hurried then I can’t think of a better host than Swedish duo Mon Rayon. Their ‘Alaró’ operates in sepia-tinged focus, players doing all in their power to dim the light but also strike up that part of us that believes that anything is possible. Meanwhile the words levitate all around, like they’ve come off the set of a epic love story where the feelings never dip below transcendence. We don’t waltz but given what has transpired here we are beginning to doubt that decision. KH
