Indie quartet The Big Moon have released their new single “Fun,” marking the second preview of their upcoming fourth studio album, Forever, due out October 30th via Fiction Records.

Following lead single “Gravity”, which introduced the band’s grooving, synth-infused sonic evolution,”Fun” arrives as an ode to embracing joy and pleasure with the same gravity as life’s heavier moments. Built around the central refrain “fun is as complex as misery,” the track celebrates lightness as a deeply meaningful human experience.

Explaining the philosophy behind the song, lead songwriter Juliette Jackson shared:

I think there’s this idea that for art to be deep it has to be SERIOUS and DARK, but joy and humour is just as integral to being a human being, and just as authentic and meaningful as the dark, painful stuff. Pop music forever.

To coincide with the release, the four-piece have announced an eight-date headline UK tour for November 2026. Coming off a summer supporting Alanis Morissette across major UK outdoor venues, the upcoming run will culminate in the band’s largest headlining performance to date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Friday 27th November.
