Blast Worship: Malform

Where they from?
Good ol’ Philly, PA. The Jets play their first preseason game this Friday in Tampa. I went to the Jets/Bucs game in Tampa last year and it was so hot I legitimately had trouble focusing my eyes on the field. Which is honestly probably for the best if you’re relying on the QB combo of Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields to win you football games.

Why the hype?
Holy mother of blast, does this band rip. What did you expect when you have Triac’s Jake Cregger blasting the fuck out of the drums while Backslider’s Logan wields the unrelenting skronk guitar attack only he can. This stuff is fast, it’s weird, it’s artsy and it’s brutal. Fans of that early 2010’s brutal wave of powerviolence will be overjoyed, and I can assure you there are DOZENS OF US!

Latest Release?
I, out on Damien Records and Malokul Industries. I just can’t get over the blast beats here, they’re so fucking punishing. As far as debut EPs go, this one knocks it out of the park and will most likely end up on my year end list.
