She defined the sound of a generation across multiple genres and featured on some of the biggest blockbuster film soundtracks to date; now, Ellie Goulding has released another instant classic that sounds like a hopeful, electrified return to a long-awaited moment on the dance floor we haven’t seen since 2016. Check out her new single, “Ravers.”
The track opens with a ghostly ambience that swells in your rib cage before you enter the club past midnight. It’s absolutely teeming with peak liveliness and a nearly animalistic anticipation. With classic bright and stabbing clusters of piano keys in a harmonious syncopated rhythm intertwined with her uniquely angelic, airy vocals, the production transforms the simplicity of its structure into something easily hooked into your ear and heartbeat as she sings her love letter to the dancers, and if you will, ravers of the world:

The chorus rings true as an homage to the ravers and night owls depicted in the music video, directed and shot by acclaimed cinematographer Sean Price Williams (who’s worked with the likes of Addison Rae, A$AP Rocky, boygenius, Tove Lo, Sleigh Bells, and Sabrina Carpenter, to name a few).
Championing themes of transforming pain into love while set to a fast-paced dance tempo, this track makes the most of its message in the chorus as much as it does in the track itself. Written by Ellie Goulding herself, “Ravers” also features the writing chops of Solly (Reneé Rapp, Marshmello, Teddy Swims) and the song’s producers, Dave Hamelin (070 Shake, Beyoncé, Jesse Reyez, Del Water Gap) and Jack Rochon (Daniel Caesar, Sean Leon, Kehlani, Alessia Cara).
Ellie Goulding has used her talented voice to carry infectious dance anthems, speak on activism for LGBTQ+ communities, and promote environmental action. Now, her love is turned toward the people who have been dancing to her music for the better part of the last two decades. The release of “Ravers” is an extension of her voice as a call to those who have turned music like Goulding’s into the therapeutic release needed, especially in a hateful world on fire.
The “Lights”, “Burn”, and “Love Me Like You Do” singer has released “Ravers” ahead of her upcoming album, I Know Too Much, set for release on September 4th, 2026.
