Stray Kids’ ‘THIS & THAT’ Makes Historic Debut

Stray Kids This and That

Stray Kids make a big splash on the charts every time a new album drops, and the latest is a success of historic proportions. THIS & THAT, the K-pop superstars’ latest full-length, has landed them at No. 1 on Billboard’s primary album chart yet again, setting several new records in the process.

THIS & THAT debuts atop this week’s Billboard 200 with 369,000 equivalent album units, the biggest one-week total of Stray Kids’ career. The vast majority of those units, 357,000, come from traditional album sales—also a highwater mark for the group, and enough to land THIS & THAT atop Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart as well.

With THIS & THAT dominating the Billboard 200 in its first week, Stray Kids are now the first act in the history of the chart to debut their first nine charting albums at No. 1, a run that began with ODDINARY in 2022. They’ve also tied Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums in the 2020s and extended their own records for the most No. 1 albums by a K-pop group and the most No. 1 albums by any group in the 21st century. To further contextualize the extent of Stray Kids’ chart success, they’ve pulled into a tie with the Rolling Stones for the second-most No. 1 albums by a group in Billboard 200 history, and they’ve accumulated nine No. 1 albums faster than any act since the Beatles.

Featuring music and lyrics crafted by 3RACHA, Stray Kids’ in-house producing unit comprising Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN, the loose and liberated THIS & THAT was preceded by its hip-hop-oriented title track and the anthemic “RUN IT,” which provided the name for the group’s tour. They headlined New York’s Governors Ball earlier this summer and have several other high-profile appearances lined up for the remainder of 2026. On Aug. 29 and 30, they’ll become the first international male artists to headline Tokyo National Stadium. In September, they’ll headline Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival, then launch their STRAYCITY festival series across North, South, and Latin America.
