Captivating with a hooky folk appeal, “Suddenly I See” is an impactful new track from Gregory Ackerman, via his upcoming album Challenger Deep. Soft acoustic strums and twangy guitars drive into a bouncy bass line, as Ackerman’s melodic vocals follow: “It’s never that I wanna, let it go / It’s only that I’m gonna lose control.” A sense of awakened realization arrives in the ensuing “suddenly I see the way through the dream” line, where a more soaring vocal disposition and layered allure melds with the twinkling of keys and melding of guitar layers. “Suddenly I See” has us fully anticipating the upcoming Challenger Deep.
