Following its debut in 2022, Slow Horses has become one of Apple TV’s most successful shows.
Based on the books by Mick Herron, the spy thriller takes place in Slough House, an MI5 unit for disgraced or failed agents, led by Jackson Lamb.
Gary Oldman leads the show’s cast, alongside Jack Lowden, Kristen Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Hugo Weaving, Christopher Chung and Aimee-Ffion Edwards.
The sixth season of Slow Horses premiered on September 16, with the finale set to drop on October 21, 2026.

Apple renewed the show for a seventh season in July last year. It’s set to adapt Mick Herron’s book Bad Actors, which is the eighth book in the Slough House series.
Speaking about the renewal, Apple TV’s creative director of Europe, Jay Hunt, said: “Slow Horses has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humour and high-octane action.
“I’m delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary’s magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses‘ slightly inept spycraft.”
Season seven won’t be the end either, as Apple renewed the show for an eighth season on September 15, 2026.
Apple has not confirmed a release date yet, but considering a new season has aired every year since the show launched in 2022, it will likely arrive sometime in 2027.
