C.NU of B1A4 has made his solo debut with the mini album "REAL" on September 19. 

"REAL" is an album situated on a timeline where memories and imagination, expectations and longing intertwine, blurring the boundaries of the present. Caught between reflecting on past love and anticipating the future, we sometimes miss the very moment—the "now"—that ought to be the most "real." Within those indefinable moments of love, the album freely traverses and constantly varies the experience of time—moments where beginnings and endings, and even the distinction between memory and expectation, are not clearly defined. 

At the same time, "REAL" is an album where the artist Shinwoo reveals his true self with utmost honesty through his self-written and composed music. Building upon his accumulated musical experience, he unfolds his story in the way he most deeply desires to express it right now. Centered on R&B yet shifting across diverse textures and moods, the album showcases Shinwoo’s musical sensibilities—spanning vocals, melody, and sound—with newfound freedom. 

Thus, the "REAL" signifies more than just authenticity; it represents both the act of revealing his true self and Shinwoo’s own inquiry into the nature of reality. It is music that feels unfamiliar yet strikingly vivid, having stepped beyond his previously known image. In this space, Shinwoo confronts a new starting point for his own unique world—a bridge between the music of his past and the music he will create in the future. Pausing somewhere between the past and the future, "REAL" stands as the first record to honestly capture love, music, and the "present" of the artist Shinwoo.

The first track 'CHOOM' is built upon the relaxed, fluid rhythms characteristic of Bossa Nova, this track incorporates the sophisticated chord progressions and delicate melodies of R&B. The gradually building tension and captivating melody line, set against a smooth, flowing rhythm, sensuously capture the moment two people become aware of and drawn to each other without a word. 

The title track 'I.B.L' is a contemporary R&B track that translates the warm, analog sensibilities of 90s R&B into a modern sound. Centered on a smooth groove and delicate vocals, the song sees initially calm emotions deepen as it progresses, eventually spreading into a poignant, lingering resonance. 

'NOTHING' is an R&B and Soul-based ballad, this track expresses emotional depth by layering a raw-textured guitar solo over warm, lyrical chords and melodies. Beginning with restrained vocals, the instrumentation and melody expand dynamically toward the latter half, dramatically portraying the feeling of love that naturally deepens with the passage of time.

'TELEPATHY' is a dance track is built on a disco foundation with a dreamlike texture, infused with a sophisticated R&B groove and a sensuous melody. A unique atmosphere is created by combining a repetitive, rhythmic bassline and beat—set against a spacious soundscape—with lyrics that capture the subtle connection between two people and how they begin to resemble one another. 

'HIT THE GROOVE' is an R&B track featuring dynamic melodies and a rhythmic groove layered over a minimalist sound arrangement.
