Copenhagen singer-producer Debbie Sings has returned with her new single, “Ocean Breeze,” out now via The Big Oil Recording Company. The release marks her first new music since her breakout EP Oh My dropped earlier this year.

Layered with heavy sidechaining, cowbells, and experimental pop production, “Ocean Breeze” captures a dreamlike, mechanical interpretation of the tide to deliver a sun-bleached reflection on romance and nostalgia.

Reflecting on the playful balance and emotional core behind the track, Debbie Sings shared:

“Ocean Breeze is a love letter to the ocean, to being in love and to cowbells. The song oscillates between something very simple and the more complex. It’s a post summer look back to days by the beach, kissing in the sand to the sound of the waves.”

An alumna of Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory, the fertile breeding ground for experimental artists like Erika de Casier, Smerz, and Clarissa Connelly, Debbie continues to treat genre as a fluid medium. Live, her performance art extends into dynamic visual collaborations with Signe Dige alongside dance and hype performance from Camilla Lind.
