Rose Gray has released her new single “Blink Twice,” following its First Play with Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1 on September 24. The track arrives alongside a video shot the previous week and is also set to feature on the soundtrack for EA Sports FC 26/27.
Gray said the song reflects the mix of excitement and anxiety she has experienced during a busy period of touring and recording. “God, I love this song. It’s all chaos, love and emotion. I’ve been feeling so alive lately, more than ever,” she said, adding that its title refers to the feeling that everything around her is moving quickly. She also pointed to music from her upbringing as an influence, naming Primal Scream, Basement Jaxx and Britpop while describing the track as difficult to place within a single genre.
“Blink Twice” follows a run of live dates and collaborations for Gray. Earlier this month, she covered Gracie Abrams’ “Hit The Wall” for BBC Radio 1, after a summer that included appearances at Primavera Sound, Boomtown and Leeds as well as an opening slot for Lorde at All Points East. Earlier in the year, Gray completed her second sold-out North American tour, played a sold-out headline show at London’s KOKO and collaborated with Demi Lovato on “Joshua Tree.”
In July, Gray released the two-track EP Club To Your Arms / Just Be Bodies. She is due to return to the road in November for a run of European arena dates supporting Tove Lo, including shows in Manchester, London, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
Gray released her debut album Louder, Please in January 2025, followed later by the deluxe edition A Little Louder, Please. The expanded release included the new tracks “April” and “Lotus,” alongside remixes and guest appearances from JADE, Melanie C, Shygirl and Casey MQ.
