TIOT has returned with their 5th Mini Album "Time or Us" on October 1.
Even as time passes, our story continues.
Since their debut, TIOT has told the story of youth: the moments of taking on challenges, wavering, and finding the strength to move forward once more. With their 5th mini-album, "Time for Us," the group continues that narrative by looking back on the time spent racing toward a goal, and on how both they and one another have changed along the way.
The road toward a dream is rarely paved with certainty. There are moments of doubt about whether one is on the right path, and times of wavering between expectation and reality. Sometimes, one simply endures the day, pretending everything is fine while suppressing one's true feelings.
"Time for Us" begins with exactly that: a "time of my own," a period of solitary endurance. From there, the album unfolds as a gradual movement outward:
The album asks listeners to offer themselves the same comfort they once gave to others. It brings long-hidden emotions into the open and embraces the past, including its instability and imperfection, as the very experiences that shaped who one is today. In the end, it looks around and declares a commitment to live out the next chapter together, side by side.
In this project, "time" means more than the ticking of a clock. Even the moments that felt like a standstill, and the periods of uncertainty, were part of the process that created who the members are now.
Having traveled different paths through time, TIOT now meets to create a new "time for us." The album is not about erasing the past or declaring a completely fresh start. Instead, it is about accepting oneself exactly as one is within that time, and continuing the story together. From my time to yours, and finally, to our time.
The title track 'Fragments of Five Hours,' captures one of the album's most personal turning points: the moment of realizing that the comfort offered to someone else was actually what one needed oneself.
The song's emotional core lies in an admission. While telling others it was okay to open up about their feelings, the narrator had kept their own heart hidden for far too long. Through the repeated cry of "Love me," the song reveals those concealed feelings and marks the instant someone finally begins to speak in their own voice.
Musically, the track is a hard rock-based dance song built around a driving guitar riff and a catchy, repetitive hook. The contrast between its lyrical melody and the intense, distorted guitar sound fuels the song's emotional build-up, turning vulnerability into something powerful.
With Time for Us, TIOT closes one chapter while making clear that the story is far from finished. Time may pass, but for the group and the listeners walking alongside them, the story continues.
