RESCENE has released its fourth mini-album, "PULSE," a five-track project built around the moment a heart begins to race again at the sound of a familiar voice. The title refers to that heartbeat, and the album’s story begins backstage, where an echo drifts through the stillness, grows closer, and turns a long-imagined scene into reality.
That sense of intimacy extends to the album’s signature scent: musk. Like a fragrance applied to a pulse point, which spreads deeper and wider as the body warms, musk stands in for the heat shared between the stage and the audience. It captures both the charged moment when eyes meet and voices join, and the quieter comfort that remains after everyone returns to daily life, a presence that lingers even when apart.
At its core, "PULSE" follows the cycle of a song. A melody offered to listeners comes back to the group as a voice that lifts them up, and through that belief, they discover sides of themselves they hadn’t known. In turn, they hope to become a source of courage for their listeners’ tomorrows. Dreams once held in solitude become real upon meeting the audience, and the rhythm that awakens between them resonates from the stage into everyday life.
The album opens with 'Finest Thing,' a song about recognizing one’s own worth. Rather than being swayed by fleeting, superficial splendor, it celebrates a value built over time, much like a subtle fragrance that remains long after the first sweet notes fade.
The title track, 'With,' follows, capturing the moment of finally meeting the person you have long dreamed of after following their voice. Its shift from a lyrical introduction to an explosive chorus and intense hook mirrors a quickening pulse, and the cheers that answer the song turn the time spent racing toward one another into a promise to move forward together.
The mood softens with 'MEME,' a groovy track with vintage piano themes and witty sound elements. It explores how meeting someone who shares your sense of humor, even when your tastes differ, can reveal new colors within yourself. Set against a relaxed, melodic backdrop, the song is a tender promise to cherish every part of one another, flaws included.
The album closes with 'Dragon,' a laid-back R&B track with a weighty bassline about standing together through the world’s harshest storms. It vows to shield one another’s fragile, developing wings from heavy rain and thrown stones. Here, protection does not mean holding someone back from flight but giving them the courage to soar higher, while remaining a safe harbor to return to on lonely days.
Across its five songs, "PULSE" moves from self-worth to meeting, blooming, laughing, and protecting, all tied together by one sincere wish from RESCENE: that their connection with their audience will endure for a long time.
