A definite case of longing on ‘Oban’ and a rise in the playing that feels like post-rock, but with an ebullient wordsmith at the controls. Does remind me of a bit of Modest Mouse and I don’t say that lightly. Yep, Nottingham’s Eyre Llew have tapped into something emotional here, intense too but only because they want to make good on all the heart we’ve invested in a track that gets increasingly epic in scale with each passing second.
