Embracing summertime coolness and confidence, “Casual Pimpin’ (Unplugged)” is a stylish track from Tim Ellis, a singer-songwriter, comedian, and actor based in Brooklyn. Steady acoustic strums open the track, quickly bolstered by subdued percussion and Ellis’ spoken-word entrancement. “I know you wanna look good,” he lets out, matched by soaring brass tones and melodic piano.

“I got some new polo shirts from the Gap,” he begins to trace a supreme quality of graphic tee’s and get-ups, perfect for all summer activities. A harmoniously impactful hook ensues, exuding a title-touting allure with backing vocal delights. Jazzy bass and woodwinds delight further in the second half, reminding fondly of Jens Lekman in its personality-filled songwriting.

The track comes via Ellis’ previously released EP, Soft Serve Summer.
