On their fourth full-length, Sisyphean Life, Dutch grindcore outfit Suffering Quota have turned their sights on the endless, brutal repetition of daily modern life. Inspired by the Greek myth of Sisyphus who was condemned to the impossible task of pushing a giant boulder up a hill, only to have it roll back down, day after day, the album explores the concept via hammering, relentless grind. So, we present to you the fittingly titled, “Again.” from the quartet’s fourth full-length which seems to funnel the rage of futility into one incredibly heavy and tension-filled sonic outburst. These dudes—Martin Kah (drums), René Beukers (guitars), Stiff Marron (bass), Gerald Timmermans (vocals)—clearly translate the the concept of “Sisyphean task” into a hammering assault on the senses.

Martin : “A 59-second outburst of total madness. This is the soundtrack of a train derailing.”

Gerald: “As the title suggests, this is one of those songs about the recurring feeling of boredom and repetition in life. Asking yourself; what is the point of all this? Just to wake up and having to do it all again.”
