Tigerforest‘s Made of Dreams is a richly textured ambient and cinematic electronica album shaped by organic instrumentation, electronic production, and a strong sense of wanderlust. German composer Gunnar Spardel draws on memories of Hamburg, distant places, and human connection throughout the project, while an international cast of collaborators adds varied instrumental and expressive perspectives to the album’s unfolding journey.

“You, Me And The Sea” opens with peaceful allure, embracing the sounds of waves crashing on a sandy shore. A soaring, caressing instrumental resonance compels alongside the hypnotic beach setting, gradually expanding from the initial calm waters and marimba-friendly tones into bursting, jubilant synths and vibrantly expressive percussion. It’s a colorful electronic success, delighting across both its lush bookends and more effervescent, bustling activity.

Ensuing track “In Stillness” maintains that peaceful ocean setting, here bolstered by a heavier bass immediacy as haunting layers of synths build into a brassy vibrancy, again strutting a dynamic and melodic tour de force. Highlights are abundant throughout the album, whether in the form of “Sunset Avenue,” featuring Aly Frank’s beautiful lead performance as caressing guitar aspects combine with steady rhythmic accompaniments, or the danceable booms within “The Space Between.” Made of Dreams navigates cohesively and artfully across serenely contemplative stunners and colorfully melodic ardor alike.
