Originating from a custom commission for a friend’s wedding, “Sing Our Song” served as the initial catalyst that united multi-instrumentalist Matthew Crozer, his cousin Cat, and guitarist Amu Dennett into Nashville Exile. Blending organ highlights and guitar solos beneath multi-voiced harmonies, the track transforms bespoke origins into a sweeping anthem of enduring devotion. The track comes via their upcoming debut album, Hand Drawn.

A lovely, warming array of guitars opens the track, with a jangling undercurrent pairing seamlessly with soaring twangs. “Didn’t think I could ever have this feeling, feeling so lucky to have found you,” the affecting lead voice proclaims, exuding a smitten, bright mood. Images of reciprocal smiles and dancing around the room build into further guitar twangs and rich backing harmonies. The band’s multi-singer lineup shines here, with their layered cohesion driving the replay-inducing chorus: “Sing our song, it’s in my head, it ain’t ever gonna fade out.”

A celebratory, perseverant quality rings out in the title-touting chorus, its punctuating “never gonna fade” line stirring especially as organ lines swell into prominence. There, a rousing multi-voiced energy drives into an absorbing guitar solo, followed up by a concluding choral section that continues to emphasize a love destined to burn brightly. “Sing Our Song” is a resonant, heartfelt output from Nashville Exile.

The band has several previous standout singles this year as well, including “The Alchemist,” “Told You So,” and “Almost Gone.”
