A song that does feel like it has descended from the clouds at first, before it starts to fire on all cylinders and in a way that reminded me of My Vitriol from earlier this century. Makes for vital indie rock fare, an engine room that harks all the way back to Swervedriver so there are hints of shoegaze in there but only just. Otherwise Portsmouth’s Oxygen just go for it (like early ‘Pablo Honey’ Radiohead) and in such a virulent way even the paranoid androids out there will be cracking a smile. Glorious.
